On Wednesday 31st January and through its exclusive partnership with Mad Dog Sports, Zenergi arranged for ex-British Lion and England rugby international Lewis Moody MBE to officially turn on the new floodlights at St Mary Redcliffe and Temple School. Lewis, who played 71 times for England, scoring 9 tries, including 3 British Lion caps in New Zealand also put some of the schools rugby players through their paces in a well organised and thoroughly enjoyable training session. Joining in the celebrations were school officials, PE staff, contractors and Governors.
He then cut a ceremonial “Orange” ribbon to turn on the new school arena floodlights which Zenergi had organised through the its new connection service. The lights will allow students to play on later during the winter darkness.
Elisabeth Gilpin Headteacher "We are delighted with our new floodlights. It means students can play after school fixtures during the winter months. It also means greater use of our facilities by the community. It was an honour to have Lewis Moody to switch them on formally. The students and staff were very excited to meet someone who had played for England"
