The two-day event is from the 16th to the 17th of November at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole and this year marks the association’s 20th anniversary supporting the school business profession.
The event is one of just a few solely dedicated to the School Business Management profession and promises to be the biggest yet! Over the two days, you can expect keynote speakers, interactive workshop sessions, policy direction, and practical tools you can take back to school with you. The event attracts over 300 delegates – mostly School Business Management professionals – and so is a fantastic networking opportunity.
There are some exciting highlights for attendees to look forward to. Confirmed keynote speakers include:
Fiona Creaby from Manchester Metropolitan University
Tony Foot, Deputy Director at Education Funding Group
Sian Carr, ASCL president
Barry Hymer, Professor of Psychology in Education at the Institute of Education
And many more to inform and inspire. In addition to the speakers, there will be over ninety exhibition stands and sixteen workshop sessions across the two-day conference. These will cover a variety of topics, including:
Deal or No Deal – how to successfully grow your Multi Academy Trust
Making a positive impact on your budget using innovative sickness absence management
How to identify, develop, and manage collaborative buying opportunities and ensure that any subsequent contracts deliver required outcomes
Effective and engaging communication
Apprenticeships – the new regime
The Parent Index: the costs of managing relationships with parents and how to reduce them whilst increasing parent engagement
Zenergi have been the approved energy partner of NASBM for over 12 years, and now run the NASBM Energy and Water scheme together (more details can be found here). We have been attending and supporting each other at various events through the years as we attempt to encourage school business managers to join the association. We’re very proud to be sponsoring this event and we just know that it’ll be one to remember!
This year is special for NASBM because they are converting to Institute status at the conference, and will be known as the Institute of School Business Leaders. If you are interested in getting tickets, you can find them here. Prices start from £125 for members and £170 for non-members and you can also book accommodation at the above link too.
